A: No. Local honey is great, but its not required for your immune system. They key is that the honey is pure, raw and unfiltered. Those natural enzymes, antioxidants and nutrients are what matter — not the ZIP code of the flowers.

Q: Why does my honey crystallize?

A: Raw honey naturally crystallizes over time. It’s a sign that its high quality pure honey. It is best used to spread on toast and baking because of its thicker texture. Don’t be worried, you can warm it gently in warm water to return it to liquid. Don’t get it too hot or you’ll cook out the enzymes, antioxidants, and nutrients.

Q: Does honey expire?

A: No — pure honey never spoils. Honey is one of the only foods that doesn’t spoil. It’s unique because it stays naturally preserved without any processing.

Q: Do bees get harmed during honey collection?

A: No. We Bee-keep ethically to ensure the bees have more than enough honey for themselves. Bees already produce more than is needed, we just take the excess. During collection, frames are removed gently, at a calm part of the day, and with tools that avoid crushing bees. The honey is extracted from the comb and the empty comb is returned so the bees dint have to rebuild everything from scratch — saving them energy and stress. Healthy bees = Better Honey.
